We provide an overview of various anniversaries, related to the Atari companies and products.

In doing so, we stem from i.a. the overview of Atari History In Dates, which you can find in FLOP 63.

So what do we remember regarding Atari in 2021?

First of all, it is 45 years since the WCI Games, Inc. was founded (1976-07-26) by Warner Communications, Inc. WCI Games was later renamed to Atari, Inc. and started the production of VCS and 8-bit computers.

Some Atari machines have also anniversaries:

• Atari 2600 (CX-2600A, 4 switches) - 40 years since market launch;
• Atari 520 STM, 520 STFM, 1040 STF - 40 years since market launch;
• Atari 7800 - 35 years since market launch;
• Atari Mega STE - 30 years since market launch;
• Atari Lynx II - 30 years since market launch;

Beside that we also have some local anniversaries:

• Atari klub Olomouc (May 1986) - 35 years since founded.
• Atariáda Prostějov (1996-04-13) - 25 years since the 1st event.
• Atariportal.cz (2006-05-08) - 15 years since launch.
• Radek Štěrba (+ 2011-07-28) - 10 years since his tragic death.
